I bought my G1 second hand off of Craigslist for only [...] bucks so I figured I would be replacing something eventually. The battery would only last one hour so I jumped on Amazon to look for a replacement. I wanted something every cheap but I didn't know if the quality of a cheap battery would be good enough. Needless to say, I bought this cheap battery... AND IT'S AWESOME. The battery lasts about 5 or 6 hours of regular use. That is longer than the battery that comes with the phone to begin with. I can leave Wifi and 3G on by accident and still not have to charge it until about a day and a half later. Please, buy this if you need a G1 battery. I was SHOCKED at the quality of a generic product.

I bought this battery from Eforcity for my G1 because my old battery became bloated and wouldn't hold a charge for more than an hour or so. So far i've been constantly using my phone for web browsing, ebook reading, and taking calls for over 6 hours and it just hit 30% battery left. I am very impressed. :-D

My G1's stock battery was shot - rapid discharge, random shut downs at the worst possible times, you know the symptoms.
I thought about getting an extended life battery, but decided against that since I'll probably replace my G1 within the next few months. The price for this unit was just too attractive for me NOT to get it.
When the battery arrived I put it in my G1 and let it discharge. I then charged the phone and allowed the battery to drain down through normal use before recharging. It seems that the battery life is better than when my G1 was new, but your mileage may vary.
If I were keeping my G1 as a primary phone I'd get at least one more battery. I wish I had bought this battery a year ago.
Bottom line: Rock solid battery at a dirt cheap price.

The battery looked new but... after several months of use my regular battery was getting to the point where it only only held a charge for about half the day. I bought this one and guess what? From the first day it only help a charge about half the day. Not much different from a 9 month old battery.
After reading my review this company contacted me and sent a replacement. I'm impressed. They care. For that reason I'm changing my rating to five stars.

As far as I can tell, this battery works at least as well as a new OEM battery. It charges within a few hours from nearly complete discharge and can run the phone all day with what I consider light usage (making a couple short calls, checking email, sending a few messages, and viewing a few websites). This is the same longevity I was seeing with my OEM battery before it went south and needed to be replaced.
The battery hasn't been in use for more than a couple weeks at this point, so I can't really speak for reliability. At this price, though, one can afford a couple replacements if necessary and still come out ahead compared to an OEM battery.
