I just wanted to leave an update on this item because of the review above. First it does make the case thicker, much thicker... but anyone who didnt know going from a 1100mah battery to a 2300 mah battery should know it will be a thicker battery. Also, the thicker battery is actually nicer to hold when you have the keyboard open.
Next the battery life is insane. I would say it lasted about 8 hours of normal use, and 4 hours with normal use before the new battery. Now it lasts about 30 hours of normal use and at least 10 hours of heavy use. It is great!
The other batteries are going for 50$, so it was strange for me to buy one for 20, i figured there would be a reason for that, but currently it is working great and lasts a long time.
The shipping also beat out my amazon order. Can't beat it!

After reading a few reviews, I was thinking that maybe this wasn't the best thing in the world. I didn't really think it would meet my expectations. Well, let me tell you. It met and SURPASSED my expectations!
My current battery did not make it even 5-6 hours through the day without charging. I wanted my G1 to last me throughout the ENTIRE DAY without a single charge. So when I received the new battery I took it to the test.
I fully charged it overnight and removed it from the charger at 7:00am. I repeatedly used it to check Facebook, Twitter, e-mails, and text messages. I also downloaded a few things from the market, played a game or 2, and uninstalled a few things. I did a little of browsing too. I hit 50% at 2:00pm. When I got home, I don't do much with it since I have access to a computer, so it was pretty idle all night. I checked it at 11:00pm and it was at 20%! I was SO AMAZED!
I will say that the additional cover increases the size of the phone about a half of a centimeter. Wasn't a HUGE difference to me. It's comparable to a Sidekick 2 (if you owned one). Even made typing more comfortable.
So in conclusion, if you want more then DOUBLE the battery life, this product is definitely what you are looking for. And for the price of $20, it just doesn't get any better than this! :D

Hey,
I have a G1 since october 2008. Since i bought it, i was in pain with the battery life, it would last the whole day without using it too much. After a year, it just lasted half of day, thats it, and i began to shutdown by itself. I found rhis battery and i had to try it. Now i think i have the perfect cellphone! The batteru last all day, with heavy use every hour, cehkcing Emails, Twitter, Facebook, downloading apps, taking pictures, Google talk, even using Pandora to listen music for over an hour. At the end of the day, the battery could be about 25%. An it is a real 25 %!...
If you have a G1, U HAVE TO HAVE THIS BATTERY!...
The only tyhing that bothers me, is that the camera lens, gets dirty a lot easier, but i can leave with that!

The battery that came with the phone would have 3% left at night when I would plug it in if I didn't use the phone much. Now with the Extended Battery has 60% left at night. I would tell everyone to get this Battery.

This is a great deal. Much better than going to the tmobile store and paying for a battery than can't last a full day
